Grimes is speaking out after her ex, Elon Musk, brought their 4-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii, to a high-profile press conference at the White House. The singer expressed her frustration on social media, criticizing Musk for exposing their young child to the public eye.

“He should not be in public like this,” Grimes wrote on X (formerly Twitter) in response to a fan praising X’s behavior during the event. “I did not see this, thank you for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”

The incident occurred during a meeting between Musk, President Donald Trump, and reporters in the Oval Office. Musk, who recently launched the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) team, brought X along to discuss plans to streamline the federal workforce. Trump even praised the toddler, calling him a “high-IQ individual.”

However, the 4-year-old’s antics quickly stole the show. At one point, X picked his nose and wiped it on Trump’s desk, prompting Musk to joke, “Gravitas can be difficult sometimes.” The SpaceX CEO also admitted the outing might have been overwhelming for his son, saying, “I thought my son might enjoy this, but as he’s sticking his fingers in my ears and stuff, it’s been hard to hear sometimes.”

Grimes’ comments come amid an ongoing legal battle with Musk over custody of their three children: X, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus. The former couple, who split in 2022 after four years together, have been at odds over parenting decisions, with Grimes filing a petition in October 2023 to establish parental rights.

While Musk’s White House appearance with X made headlines, Grimes’ reaction highlights the tension between the two over their children’s privacy. As the legal dispute continues, fans are left wondering how the co-parenting dynamic will evolve.
