A chilling mystery has gripped Alaska as a small aircraft carrying 10 people vanished mid-flight over the icy wilderness. Late last night, the Nome Volunteer Fire Department revealed that the pilot had informed Anchorage Air Traffic Control of his intention to enter a holding pattern while waiting for the runway to be cleared. This detail has become a critical clue in narrowing down the plane’s last-known coordinates.
A Coast Guard aircraft has since been deployed to scan the area, while a National Guard C-130 has reported no findings so far. Ground teams continue to canvass the rugged terrain, but as of February 7, the plane’s location remains unknown.
